The majority of Russians said that the introduction of paid services under the compulsory health insurance policy is unacceptable. The newspaper reports this with reference to a survey by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM).Vedomosti“
1708 respondents took part in the study. According to statistics, every second Russian paid for additional medical services – 56%. More than 35% of respondents did not use paid procedures at all. But the majority of Russians said that paid services should not be introduced as part of compulsory medical insurance – 76%.
According to co-chairman of the All-Russian Patients’ Union (VSP) Yana Vlasova, doctors force patients to use paid services, as this directly affects their wages.
