In September, the Thai island of Phuket was visited by about 40 thousand Russians, reports novostiphuketa.com with reference to the Immigration Bureau of Thailand.
Russia was in first place in terms of the share of travelers on the island – approximately every sixth tourist in the country was from the Russian Federation. China was in second place (37 thousand), Australia was in third (21 thousand), and India was in fourth (almost 19 thousand).
Compared to July and August, the number of tourists from Russia to Phuket has increased, while those from China have decreased.
