The Russian Embassy in the Philippines is investigating circumstances related to the appeal of the mother of the missing Russian woman Yulia Chumak, the diplomatic mission in Manila informed on Thursday.
As noted, an appeal by e-mail and by phone from Russian woman Tatyana Kovaleva about the disappearance of her daughter born in 2000 was received on May 9. It is specified that she allegedly arrived in Manila on May 6 for the purpose of “employment in one of the local companies” and has not contacted her relatives since that time.
According to the embassy, while communicating with Kovaleva, she was asked to provide additional information about the details of her daughter’s trip. As a result of the conversation, the diplomats sent relevant appeals to the competent departments of the host country.
In addition, the diplomatic mission in Manila advised Kovaleva to apply to the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation in order to put Yulia Chumak on the Interpol wanted list.
