NATO caliber ORSIS rifle, capable of hitting targets for two kilometers, has been tested in Russia and is ready for serial production. This is reported TASS with reference to the manufacturer ORSIS Promtekhnologii LLC.
“Samples of the rifle in caliber 12.7×99 have passed factory tests, and we are moving on to serial production. The enterprise’s capacities allow it to produce hundreds of such products a year,” the company said (quoted by TASS).
Such a rifle weighs 12 kg and demonstrates a stable accuracy of fire of 1 MOA (minute of arc). It is equipped with a sight with a built-in ballistic complex. Also, a new intelligent sight of the Dedal-NV company with a built-in ballistic complex, an information processing system and a display with a customizable interface located in the field of view of the shooter is considered as a sight.
The weapon will be presented to foreign customers in August at the Army-2022 International Military-Technical Forum, which will be held from August 15 to 21 at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center, at the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield. Together with the NATO caliber rifle, the forum will show another version with a 12.7×108 caliber.
