Russian triathlete Ryasova was disqualified for two years for doping

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has suspended Russian triathlete Valentina Ryasova for two years for violating anti-doping rules. How reported The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADO), CAS issued a decision on September 15.
The athlete was suspended until March 14, 2025, with credit for the period of disqualification passed – from September 12, 2022 to March 11, 2023.
As reported by RUSADA, on September 12 last year, the International Triathlon Federation decided to disqualify Valentina Ryasova for six months. RUSADA filed an appeal. At a meeting on September 15, CAS satisfied it.
25-year-old Valentina Ryasova is the bronze medalist of the 2021 European Triathlon Championships in the mixed relay. She is also a silver medalist in the individual speed triathlon.
