Russian tourist Marina Ershova in her blog on the platform Yandex.Dzen talked about Indians’ dislike for toilet paper.
According to her, in India, a bath is considered something very unhygienic. In fact, a bath with hot water is some kind of puddle.
“For the people of India, bathing in a bath is like swimming in a swamp, because they believe that the water must be running. Like in the shower, for example. When the water does not drain, it is unacceptable and disgusting for the Indians,” Yershova said.
She clarified that Indians have a similar opinion regarding toilet paper. They do not use it and absolutely do not like it.
“Toilet paper was missing from every home we visited in India. In this regard, running water and the left hand help them. I went to the toilet and immediately washed myself – this is the way the Indians consider the most hygienic, ”said the Russian tourist.
