In a number of Russian regions, a ban is beginning to apply for teachers to use WhatsApp and Telegram messengers in their work. Presumably, they want to transfer teachers to Russian analogues.
In particular, Baza reports, that “Dagestan schools have been instructed to get rid of WhatsApp,” that is, to no longer conduct parent chats there and not to use the messenger for personal purposes during working hours. In exchange, teachers “were required to transfer correspondence to domestic services,” writes Baza. According to the channel, we are talking about the VK messenger and the Sferum educational platform.
About a similar situation writes E1.ru. It is reported that in Yekaterinburg, teachers were prohibited from communicating with parents of schoolchildren not only on WhatsApp, but also on Telegram. The publication confirms that the ban was introduced in accordance with plans to transfer teachers to the VKontakte and Sferum platforms.
“For now, parents are offered to keep in touch using a classic paper diary,” the publication says.
