Military doctors of the Vishnevsky Central Military Clinical Hospital saved the sergeant by removing a bullet from the soldier’s heart.
As noted in the Ministry of Defense, doctors performed a unique operation to extract a bullet from the heart of a soldier who was wounded from the zone of a special military operation (SVO).
The operation was performed by the head of the Center for Cardiac Surgery Alexander Lishchuk. It is known that the soldier was wounded by a sniper. The bullet hit the left side of the chest.
“They found a bullet, it was soldered to the left ventricle and pericardium, tearing part of the left ventricle,” experts said.
The operation to extract the bullet was successful. After recovery, the sergeant will be able to return to the service.
