As reported press service World Skate, those athletes who meet criteria based on IOC recommendations will be able to become neutral. The federation has promised to publish a list of criteria in the coming weeks.
It is noted that the decision on the participation of Belarusian and Russian skateboarders in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is under the jurisdiction of the IOC.
In accordance with the IOC recommendations of February 28, skateboarders from Belarus and Russia could not participate in international competitions from March 1, 2022. On March 28 of this year, the IOC recommended that Russians and Belarusians be allowed into international competitions only as neutral athletes. Then the IOC stated that the decision on admission concerns only those athletes who did not support the fighting in Ukraine.
