High school students from Surgut complained about having to attend classes in thirty-degree frosts. They sent a corresponding appeal to social activist Ekaterina Mizulina. She published them in her telegram channel.
In one of the messages, a student from one of the schools in Surgut wrote that even primary schoolchildren came to lessons at -23. Tomorrow, he said, -34 is expected.
His complaint was picked up by other schoolchildren, adding that it felt like “the weather was as much as -35…-38 degrees.”
In this regard, teenagers proposed changing temperature standards to cancel classes in educational institutions, saying that even at -25 degrees it is impossible to go anywhere.
Similar complaints were sent by students from educational organizations from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Komi Republic, the Irkutsk Region, and Tyumen.
Ekaterina Mizulina urged students to indicate their school numbers in the future. The social activist added that she had received more than two hundred such complaints.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Situation Center of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Anatoly Tsygankov said that by December 10 in Moscow It will get colder to about minus 22 – minus 23 on the Celsius scale. According to him, this temperature will last about four days.
