In a survey conducted by SuperJob, Russian parents from all regions of the country gave their assessment of school meals.
1600 people participated in the survey. They had to evaluate the quality of food at school on a five-point system.
Only 7% of the study participants gave an excellent assessment of the quality and taste of dishes from school canteens.
27% of the food for their children was rated a “four”, 28% – a “three”.
As a result, the average score was 3.4 points out of 5.
Parents interviewed by experts commented on school meals as follows: “more like dry rations: cereal with milk, dumplings that are impossible to eat”; “the child doesn’t eat a lot – either the broth is undersalted, or the borscht consists of beets and potatoes.”
8% of respondents rated the school food a “two” and 3% a “count”.
One of the parents said that her son, once returning home from school, was indignant at the quality of the first course in the dining room: “Mom, is it really possible to cook borscht so badly!”.
