The head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that about 250,000 people die from sudden cardiac arrest in Russia every year. In his opinion, it is important that people who are nearby at this moment can provide first aid to a person.
“In our country, up to 250 thousand people die every year from sudden cardiac arrest,” Mikhail Murashko said in a greeting to the participants in the flash mob “Children save lives!” (quote from RIA Novosti).
“In many cases, sudden coronary death occurs with witnesses, and being able to carry out a simple set of measures to restore and maintain cardiac activity is a paramount task to ensure the continuity of the“ chain of survival ”,” he added.
