Russian Ochigava, who entered the United States without a ticket, turned out to be a former businessman

The Russian, who was detained upon arrival in Los Angeles and was unable to present his passport, ticket and name, turned out to be Sergei Ochigava, who had previously done business in the Russian Federation. As previously reported, a passenger with partial memory loss and in a strange psychological state was detained after a flight from Copenhagen. The man called himself an “economist,” but could not explain why he came to the United States and how he got on board without a ticket. Only national identity documents of Russia and Israel were found on the foreigner. After some time, the passenger’s identity was confirmed.
According to RIA Novosti, the man’s namesake became a co-founder of an LLC in the Kaluga region in 2021, which was closed in the spring of 2022.
Also in open sources there is information about his PhD thesis on the topic of marketing audit – the work was defended at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in 2003.
