Russian national team will miss the Euro 2024 qualifying draw

The Russian Football Union announced that the Russian team will not participate in the draw for the qualifying round of the European Championship 2024. The draw is scheduled for October 9th.
As explained in RFS, On February 28, UEFA suspended the Russian national team from international tournaments. This decision was challenged before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne. On July 15, CAS rejected the appeals.
“Currently, the Union is awaiting the full text of the CAS decision, following the study of which a decision will be made on further steps within the framework of legal protection,” the RFU said in a statement.
Since the draw is scheduled for October 9, and the CAS decision has not been challenged, the Russian team has no chance to take part in it.
