Russian military refuse to give Kherson raccoon to Ukraine

The Russian paratroopers said that the raccoon, which was taken from the Kherson zoo, will remain with them, they do not plan to transfer it to the Ukrainian side.

As one of the Russian fighters noted, no one stole the raccoon. The detachment leaving the city saw that the animal had simply been abandoned.

“A little comrade was taken away. Now he lives in a unit with the military. He eats grapes, fish, he loves nuts very much. But sometimes this little saboteur just smashes the bungalow at night. We wake up in the morning, and he smashed everything. This raccoon has become a symbol of a special operation. Earlier, the Ukrainian side offered to exchange the raccoon for the Odessa monument to Catherine II.
