They will be able to entertain people with songs and fairy tales.

An aquarium with robotic fish was invented by scientists from the Volga State Technological University in Udmurtia. The other day they defended their development with a patent of the Russian Federation.

In the description of the patent, scientists note that an aquarium with robotic inhabitants is an entertainment attraction that can be installed in cultural, entertainment, health and shopping centers. Unlike the living, robot fish will not need food and treatment, and the aquarium with robots will not have to be cleaned, changed the water in it and monitor the temperature. In addition, artificial fish can be controlled.

The aquarium itself will look like a real one, the main differences are a pedestal into which a command receiver, a command generator and a power supply are mounted, as well as an opaque cover with light sources and a second power supply. A speaker will be placed on the surface of the pedestal, that is, inside the aquarium. The fish themselves will be equipped with miniature sources of electricity, consisting of photocells, voltage converters and batteries. They will feed all the mechanisms of the movement of the robotic fish. Artificial animals, as conceived by the inventors, will be able not only to swim, using, like ordinary inhabitants of the depths, their tail and fins, and open their mouths, but also to blink, which living fish do not do. Another element of development is the “magic pointer” – a control panel with which you can control the behavior of the “inhabitants” of the aquarium.

These fish will be able not only to swim along the trajectory specified by the user, but also to “speak”, for example, sing songs and tell fairy tales. In fact, they will open their mouths, and the sound will come from a speaker mounted on a pedestal. Due to the way sound travels in water, the user will have the illusion that the fish is talking.
