Russian doctors complained about the ridiculous calls to children

Doctors from the Moscow region told reporters that due to inadequate calls to the ambulance, they do not always have time to provide assistance to people who really need it.
Natalia Shevchuk, a pediatrician at the Vidnoye District Clinical Hospital, says that recently, for example, parents called a brigade to a child because he had been bitten by a mosquito. Due to a slight redness, the baby’s mother insisted on consulting a specialist in a hospital.
Head the pediatric department of the same clinic, Marina Tsareva recalls how a married couple went to the doctors, assuming that the soup that the child ate went directly to the lymph node. Another spouse was alarmed when his own tear flowed into the ear of their child. And the most popular call is if the child does not have a chair for five days.
Many ambulance calls are related to problems that can be solved with a regular visit to a doctor in a clinic, says Marina Tsareva. Natalya Shevchuk emphasizes that the emergency service is not designed to perform the functions of a social taxi. Yes, and making an accurate diagnosis is also not in the competence of paramedics.
Ambulance and hospital staff are asking Russians to be more responsible and not to call doctors for reasons unrelated to emergency, urgent cases.
