Russian defender of Lokomotiv Tiknizyan was called up to the Armenian national team

The Football Federation of Armenia has announced that Nair Tiknizyan, a football player of the Moscow Lokomotiv, will play for the national team.
The footballer himself thanked for the call to the national team and the chance. He said that he would try to prove his worth on the field, defending the honor of the national team. Tiknizyan stressed that the decision was entirely his “initiative and personal choice.”
The defender has been playing at Lokomotiv since 2021 after he moved from CSKA.
Previously, Tiknizyan played for the youth national team of Russia (not older than 21 years old) and managed to play in seven meetings.
On the eve of the online sale of tickets for the match between Armenia and Turkey, which will be held in Yerevan on March 25, began. By special decision of UEFA, away fans will not be present at the match. That is, fans from Turkey will not be able to come and support their players during this match as part of the qualifiers for the European Championship 2024. Teams of Turkey and Armenia got into the qualifying group D along with the teams of Croatia, Wales and Latvia.
