Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Alexander Shulgin was summoned to the country’s Foreign Ministry due to Moscow’s reaction to the verdict of the Hague court in the case of the crash of flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine. This is reported by the AFP agency with reference to the Dutch Foreign Ministry.
The department noted that Russia, with its reaction to the verdict of the Hague court, “discredits the Dutch legal state.” According to representatives of the Dutch Foreign Ministry, this is “absolutely unacceptable.”
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the decision of the court in the Netherlands, said that the court accepted the materials on the MH17 case selectively and neglected the principles of impartial justice, and the course and results of the proceedings indicate that it was based on a political order to reinforce the version of Russia’s involvement in the plane crash.
