There was no attack on the Sheskharis oil harbor in Novorossiysk, reports of this are false. About this the official representative of Transneft Igor Demin informed TASS.
“This information is not true. There was no attack by a naval drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Sheskharis oil harbor in Novorossiysk. Accordingly, there is no damage there,” Demin said.
At the same time, the press service of the mayor’s office of Novorossiysk told Kommersant-Kuban that it had begun checking the information that appeared on social networks about the attack of the Ukrainian drone.
Previously Telegram channel Mash informed about the attack by a naval drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Sheskharis oil harbor in Novorossiysk on the night of November 18. According to the publication, experts recorded minor damage that did not affect the operation of the systems. Mash claimed that the wreckage of a surface drone similar to those used in the attack on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol on October 29 was found at the scene of the incident.
The Sheskharis transshipment complex is one of the largest complexes for the transshipment of oil and oil products in the south of Russia, it was launched in 1964. This is one of the two main sites for the accumulation and storage of oil, as well as the end point of the main oil pipelines of PJSC “Transneft“.
Prior to this, on November 16, the drone attacked oil depot in the Oryol region, Governor Andrei Klychkov announced this. There were no casualties. Mash was the first to write about it then. According to the Telegram channel, the target of the drone was the terminal of the Druzhba oil pipeline, but the aircraft missed, there was no fire, and no significant damage was found.
