Russia set a record for the number of simultaneously launched domestic satellites into orbit
On Tuesday, the Fregat upper stage launched 42 Russian and foreign spacecraft into orbit, which were launched together with the Meteor-M satellite No. 2-3 as an associated payload, Roscosmos said.

The Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome at 14:34 Moscow time and launched the Fregat upper stage with the Meteor-M hydrometeorological satellite No. 2-3 and 42 small spacecraft into orbit.
“The associated payload, consisting of 39 Russian and 3 foreign spacecraft, was delivered to the target orbits and separated from the Fregat upper stage,” the message says.
As part of the associated payload – 17 small spacecraft in the interests of Russian and foreign commercial customers, 16 university educational cubesats of the Space-Pi project and 9 satellites under the program for the launch of small spacecraft for educational and scientific purposes “Universat” Roskosmos.
