From March 1, monthly payments to medical workers in small towns, regional centers and villages will be increased. Russian President Vladimir Putin made this proposal at the Future Technologies Forum in mid-February.
He emphasized the importance of supporting doctors working in the most in-demand areas, as well as medical workers working in district and district hospitals.
- In cities with a population of 50 thousand to 100 thousand people, doctors will receive an additional 29 thousand rubles, and nursing staff – 13 thousand.
- In settlements with a population of less than 50 thousand people, doctors will receive monthly additional payments in the amount of 50 thousand rubles, and nursing staff – 30 thousand.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova said that the increase in the size of these payments will affect about 210 thousand medical workers, and about 57 billion rubles are expected to be allocated from the federal budget for this.
