The State Duma has expanded the grounds for invalidating the passport of Russians
The grounds for recognizing passports as invalid in Russia are wide, the relevant law was adopted in the State Duma.
According to the changes, the grounds for recognizing a foreign document of a Russian citizen as invalid will be its loss, unsuitability, termination of citizenship, non-return after the end of a business trip, lack of a passport, death and other reasons. In addition, the deadline for issuing a passport at the place of residence of a citizen will be specified.
Also, the rules for the withdrawal and verification of the passport are formulated. This will be possible if there are signs of a passport being issued on the basis of fake or invalid documents.
