Russia announced a demarche to the German ambassador over long-range missiles



The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed a demarche to German Ambassador Lambsdorff over possible deliveries of Taurus to Ukraine

Russia announced a demarche to German Ambassador Alexander Lambsdorff, and also demands clarification regarding possible supplies of Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine. This was reported in press release Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, published on their official website.

“On March 4, during a demarche at the Russian Foreign Ministry, they demanded from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany A. Graf Lambsdorff an explanation in connection with the discussion in a conversation between senior German officers about the possibility of supplying the Kyiv regime with long-range Taurus cruise missiles,” the statement says.

In addition, it is noted that the demarche to the German diplomat was also announced in connection with the possible provision of practical assistance from Berlin to Kyiv in the combat use of long-range missiles. The Russian Foreign Ministry notes that such actions indicate the direct involvement of the West, including Germany, in the Ukrainian conflict.

The press release also clarifies that Lambsdorff was told that the ongoing attempts by the German authorities to restrict the activities of Russian journalists in the country are unacceptable. The Foreign Ministry clarified that such actions will not remain without a tough response.
