Rugby players of KGUFKST are champions of Russia among students

The team of the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism became the winner of the All-Russian competition in rugby-15. The tournament with the participation of 8 student teams ended on November 29 in Kislovodsk.
KGUFKST team successfully overcame group stage, having won 3 wins in 3 matches, including defeating the main favorite of the tournament Siberian Federal University from Krasnoyarsk.
From the first place in the group, Anton Levchenko’s wards reached the final match, where they met with the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism from Kazan. The first half ended with a score of 13:3 in favor of the Krasnodar university, and after the break, the Kuban team managed to further increase their advantage – 23:3.
The third place was taken by the Siberian Federal University, having beaten the Moscow Aviation Institute in the small final – 36:5.
Team KGUFKST earlier won and All-Russian competitions in rugby-7.
