On August 4, a bill is submitted to the Duma for consideration, according to which employers may be required to shorten the working day at the request of employees, if the room is hot. The initiator of this bill is the Vice Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov, RT reports.
The document states that the employer must reduce the working day by one hour at an air temperature of +28.5 degrees, by two hours – at +28.6 degrees to +29 degrees, by four hours – from +29.1 degrees and above.
With the help of this bill, it is planned to protect employees from thermal radiation and maintain favorable working conditions. In the event that these innovations are adopted, they will supplement Article 92 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
