The head coach of St. Petersburg SKA Roman Rotenberg commented on messages on social networks that the club’s match at the SKA Arena did not attract a record number of fans. An interview with the coach was published by Match TV.

Let us remind you that on February 11, the St. Petersburg club gathered 21,481 spectators in the stands at the opening match of the SKA Arena. The next day, SKA management clarified the number of visitors to the match.

Together with accredited guests, players’ families and volunteers, this figure amounted to 23,745 people. The club stated that the SKA Arena set a world record for attendance at indoor hockey palaces. After this, messages and posts began to appear on social networks that the match at the SKA Arena did not set a record for attendance.

“Unfortunately, there are always people who envy other people’s success. And this envy is not white, but black. Moreover, these are our people who live in Russia. Okay, these would be American bloggers. But it was launched by domestic media representatives.”said Rotenberg.

Previously, “MK in St. Petersburg” wrote in more detail about record in terms of attendance at the match at the SKA Arena.
