Roszdravnadzor denies shortage of dental drugs

Roszdravnadzor sees no signs of a shortage of dental products on the Russian pharmaceutical market. The department also recalled the current special okay registration of medicines, which should prevent their shortage.

“Currently, there are no signs of a shortage of painkillers and medical devices used in dentistry on the territory of the Russian Federation. Roszdravnadzor, together with the Ministry of Health of Russia, is closely monitoring the availability of all necessary medicines and medical devices on the Russian market, ”the press service of Roszdravnadzor said (quote from TASS).

February 15 RBC informedthat since March 2022, dental clinics have noted problems with the supply of the American drug ubistezin (a drug for pain relief), German cement Vitremer and ultracaine Sanofi Aventis. RBC noted that due to the lack of ubistezin on the market, dentists began to use its domestic analogue, articaine-binergy, which turned out to be less effective.
