Rostec has doubled the production of Su-34 and Su-35 fighters for the needs of the Ministry of Defense, which have shown high efficiency in the area of the special operation. The first deputy general director of the state corporation Vladimir Artyakov spoke about this in interview TV channel “Russia-24”.

“For some positions, we have doubled the number of combat aircraft that we issue to the Ministry of Defense. These are aircraft such as Su-30, Su-34, Su-35. They are very effective on the line of contact and greatly help our special military operation,” Artyakov said.

According to him, the state defense order is being fulfilled in the prescribed volume, and for some items – ahead of schedule and quantity. 80% of the equipment used in the special operation zone was produced by Rostec, Aryatkov emphasized.

The Su-35 4++ generation fighter was developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau in the late 2000s. as the most profound modernization of the Su-27 fighter. To date, about 120 such machines have been ordered and delivered for the Russian Aerospace Forces, 24 have been exported to China.

At the end of June, the CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation, which is part of Rostec (UAC) Yuri Slyusar informedthat this year the volume of deliveries to the Russian Aerospace Forces of the fifth generation Su-57 fighters will also be increased.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in November last year that Russia would expand the production of aircraft engines for domestic civil and military transport aircraft, 44 billion rubles would be allocated for this purpose. Because of the sanctions, it is necessary to minimize the dependence of the Russian aviation industry on foreign components, materials and equipment, the prime minister emphasized.
