Rostec delivered the first batch of the latest 152-mm Malva self-propelled artillery guns to the troops. About it reported press service of the state corporation.

As Rostec clarified, a distinctive feature of the Malva is its mobility due to its wheeled chassis. The newest installation is capable of firing all types of ammunition and operating in simultaneous fire attack mode (several fired ammunition reaches the target at the same time). In addition, Malva has a greater technical resource and lower operating costs than tracked artillery mounts. It requires less time to deploy and leave a position, as well as aiming at a target.

“This is a modern and powerful weapon, with which you can destroy almost any object with high-explosive fragmentation shells at a range of more than 24 km. The rate of fire of the howitzer is more than 7 rounds per minute, and the ammunition capacity is up to 30 rounds,” said Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the Rostec complex of conventional weapons, ammunition and special chemicals.

State contract for the supply of 2S43 Malva howitzers to the Ministry of Defense and the Burevestnik Central Research Institute (part of Rostec) signed in August. It was alleged that before the conclusion of the Malva contract has been modernized to combat howitzers of the Ukrainian armed forces. In particular, the firing range was increased.
