“Karaulov in his activities went far beyond professional ethics, being, in fact, engaged in pseudo-journalism. In his channel, he published rumors and conjectures, divorced from reality, without bothering to verify the information necessary. Real journalism involves checking the facts using at least two sources, as well as an official appeal to the company for comments and clarifications, ”said the representative of Rostec.

Rostec believes that the number of publications with unverified information in the journalist’s channel has recently increased manifold. “A number of materials harmed the reputation of the Director General of the Rostec State Corporation, and the information campaign launched on Karaulov’s resources had, in our opinion, signs of slander. In this regard, it was decided to contact the investigating authorities for a legal assessment of the activities of Andrei Karaulov, ”the state corporation believes.

Andrey Karaulov informed about the search of his house on 3 November. He said that the search was related to Sergei Chemezov’s statement to the court in a libel case. As the journalist said, slander was discovered in his interview with journalist Maxim Shevchenko. He reported that earlier passed in this case as a witness. Now Andrei Karaulov is abroad. According to him, he is undergoing treatment there.
