The smell of burning, which residents of the south and west of Moscow complained about the day before, reached the northern regions of the capital and the Moscow region on August 18. Rospotrebnadzor advised to spend less time on the street and carry out wet cleaning at home.
Rospotrebnadzor in conditions of smoke in Moscow and the Moscow region recommended that local residents take measures to prevent poisoning by combustion products. In particular, temporarily limit the stay of children in playgrounds, including reducing the time spent walking in kindergartens; limit sports and outdoor activities; use medical masks on the street; regularly carry out wet cleaning; drink plenty of fluids.
Recall that on August 17, residents of the southwestern, southern and western regions of Moscow complained about the smell of burning, and subsequently the smell reached the north of the Moscow region. Rosleskhoz explained this by fires in industrial areas in the Ryazan region: on that day, five fires were extinguished in the region on a total area of 185 hectares. More than 300 people and 100 units of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire on August 18.
