Rospotrebnadzor decided to cancel the standards for the coverage of the population with testing for coronavirus infection, depending on the activity of COVID-19 in the region. The document was published on the official portal legal acts.
The canceled norm introduced a minimum threshold for the number of tests per 100,000 people, depending on the epidemic activity of the coronavirus in the region. A three-tier system was introduced. In regions with a high level of coronavirus activity, the agency recommended conducting at least 300 tests per 100,000 people, with an average level – at least 200, with a low level – at least 150.
In June, the Russian government canceled grants for regions for success in the fight against coronavirus – low incidence rates, coverage of residents with PCR testing and a vaccination campaign. In fact, the authorities are in no hurry to abandon only one anti-coronavirus measure – a ban on mass events, in particular on actions and pickets.
