Rospotrebnadzor said that buyers have the right to take photos and videos on the territory of retail outlets.
The department announced this on Saturday in its Telegram channel in response to complaints from consumers that employees in stores prohibit filming.
“According to the Decree of the Government of Russia dated December 31, 2020 No. 2463, the consumer has the right to collect information in any accessible form, including by filming goods on a camera or video camera,” Rosportebnadzor said in order to remove all questions about this.
They explained that, in other words, the ban on filming on the territory of shops and other shopping facilities has no legal basis.
