Deputy head of Roskomnadzor Vadim Subbotin said at a meeting of the Federation Council that the RKN fixes a decrease in the amount of unreliable information detected in the Russian segment of the Internet, which is mainly due to the restriction of access by the department to the main large platforms that distribute the anti-Russian agenda.
According to him, over the entire period since the beginning of the special operation, more than 157,000 fake materials and calls for “anti-war” rallies have been identified and blocked. As the deputy head of the department noted, now the RKN is observing a decrease in the amount of unreliable information detected in Runet.
Subbotin clarified that this is due to the department’s restriction of access to the main sites that disseminate the anti-Russian agenda. In particular, according to the official, pro-Western destructive sites that attempted to continue their illegal activities in the Russian-language information space were permanently blocked.
The deputy head of the RKN added that the currently available legislative, organizational and technical mechanisms make it possible to effectively counteract the attempts of anti-Russian resources to restore their influence on the Russian-speaking audience. In addition, according to him, not only the blocking of resources helps, but also the total support of the Russians for the measures taken by the president to protect the country.
