Roskomnadzor included Discord and Yappy in the list of social networks – Kommersant

Roskomnadzor notified platforms Discord and Yappy (Russian analogue of TikTok) that their services were included in the register of social networks. This means that they will be required to identify and block illegal content, as well as provide a special form for users to report such material.

The register of social networks of Roskomnadzdor includes resources that have over 500 thousand Russian users per day; there should also be advertising aimed at Russians, and the users themselves have the opportunity to disseminate information using personal pages. Currently, the registry includes 15 services: VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Twitter, TikTok, Likee, YouTube, Telegram, LiveJournal, Pikabu, Pinterest, Zen, RuTube, Twitch, Discord and Yappy.

As stated in Roskomnadzor, in 2023, 113 thousand illegal materials were removed from social networks, 14 protocols were drawn up for a total of fines of over 21.35 million rubles.
