Roskomnadzor drew up a protocol on Twitch for not deleting illegal information

Roskomnadzor sent an administrative protocol regarding the Twitch streaming service under Part 2 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for not deleting information that contains fakes about a military special operation in Ukraine, informed press service of the regulator.
Part 2 Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the procedure for restricting access to information, information resources, access to which is subject to restriction in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation on information, information technologies and information protection, and (or) the procedure for deleting this information”) involves a punishment of 800,000 up to 4 million rubles
The regulator recalled that from July 14, search engines are required to warn users that Twitch has violated Russian law in connection with the failure to comply with the requirements of Roskomnadzor.
In addition, Twitch does not comply with the requirements of the legislation on the localization of personal data. At the end of June, he was fined 2 million rubles. according to part 8 of Art. 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. Earlier, the court fined Apple, Pinterest photo hosting, Airbnb, and Google under the same article. The latter repeatedly ignored the requirement of Roskomnadzor and received a fine of 15 million rubles.
