Rosfinmonitoring puts two HSE students on the list of extremists and terrorists

Rosfinmonitoring introduced the list of terrorists and extremists included two students of the Higher School of Economics School of Design — 22-year-old Ivan Trofimov and 21-year-old Alina Olekhnovich. On July 29, the Basmanny Court placed them under house arrest for three months in the case of participation in an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). They are suspected of working for the headquarters of Alexei Navalny.
On July 27, the host Vladimir Solovyov announced the detention of students in his Telegram channel. He called the students “activists of Navalny’s underground headquarters” (the headquarters of Alexei Navalny are recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned).
On site School of Design HSE, Alina Olekhnovich studied for a bachelor’s degree in the program “Contemporary Art”. Ivan Trofimov is listed on site university curator of the Media and Design profile at the HSE School of Design, as well as an art director.
