Rosfinmonitoring included “Azov” in the list of terrorist organizations

The Ukrainian regiment “Azov” (banned and recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation) Rosfinmonitoring in the list of terrorist and extremist organizations. This is stated on the website of the service. Yesterday, August 3, the Supreme Court of Russia acknowledged regiment of terrorist organizations and banned its activities.
The Azov Regiment was formed in 2014 in Mariupol. Initially, it acted as a battalion of the special police patrol service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, later transferred to the National Guard.
In the list of Rosfinmonitoring, the organization is listed under number 526 and is recorded as “Ukrainian paramilitary nationalist association “Azov” (battalion “Azov”; regiment “Azov”).
In May, the Prosecutor General’s Office asked to recognize the Ukrainian regiment as a terrorist organization.
