“Roskosmos” will continue to develop a promising reusable launch vehicle “Amur-SPG”, transmits the press service of the state corporation in the Telegram channel.
“The development of the Amur-LNG complex with the Amur reusable medium-class missile will continue! On March 9, 2023, a state contract for a technical project was signed. The lead contractor is the RCC Progress, the report says.
The press service also noted that at the stage of the technical project, the issues of using the complex for the flight of astronauts should be considered. Completion of the technical design is planned for the end of 2024.
On May 22, 2021, the executive director of Roscosmos for advanced programs and science, Alexander Bloshenko, announced that the cost of launching the Amur-LNG reusable methane rocket would tentatively be $22 million.
