April 12, Cosmonautics Day, Borisov Meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin, announcing the government’s decision to extend the operation of the Russian segment of the ISS until 2028. According to him, the financial situation of the industry is stable, and the state corporation “understands where to go.” He noted that “time is running fast” and Russia “shouldn’t have breaks in manned cosmonautics.” According to Borisov, the sketch of the project of the orbital station will be ready in the summer of 2023.
