Romanian President Klaus Iohannis called for an increase in the military presence of the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance in the country and the region.
The head of the Romanian state said that it is necessary to turn the NATO group stationed in the country into a full-fledged brigade. He added that Bucharest is in favor of maintaining and strengthening transatlantic relations.
“We want to increase the American presence in our region in all its aspects: military, economic, energy and political,” the Romanian president said.
In addition, the head of state noted that he welcomes the recognition of the strategic importance of the Black Sea.
