Three-time Russian football champion Roman Shirokov has been appointed director of the Saturn football club.
“Today, Roman Shirokov has been appointed to the post of director of the Ramenskoye club,” the FC said in a statement.
Konstantin Klimov, who was previously the director of the club, will continue to work in the structure of the club.
In 2005, Shirokov played for Saturn as a player and scored three goals for the team.
After ending his playing career at the age of 41, Shirokov began working as a sports director at Dynamo Moscow. “Saturn” is currently playing in the second Second League (the third most important Russian division).
