Prosthetics for the famous figure skater Roman Kostomarov may be done abroad. As it became known to MK, at the end of April, the famous figure skater was discharged from the Moscow hospital and is now in rehabilitation abroad.

Recall that for almost four months Roman Kostomarov was in the intensive care unit of the Kommunarka hospital. She was worried about his condition, and even now the whole country is worried. During this time, the athlete underwent many operations, first amputation of both feet, then both legs, as well as the right hand and all fingers on the left hand.

When Roman’s condition improved and he began to recover, the issue of prosthetic limbs arose. But the doctors did not take risks, and almost until the last, the skater was in intensive care. There was no mention of a release.

Nevertheless, rumors that Kostomarov could be transferred to one of the private clinics in Germany appeared back in March. It is there that the athlete allegedly will undergo further rehabilitation, after which very expensive prostheses will be installed instead of amputated limbs.

From sources in the Kommunarka hospital, we learned that their famous patient left the hospital at the end of April. “We no longer have him, he is abroad,” the doctors said. – Where exactly? Israel or Germany. Two options.

He was discharged quietly, without publicity. We were immediately taken to the airport in a special vehicle. So now Roman Kostomarov, for sure, is already undergoing rehabilitation in a private clinic, where he will receive prosthetics in the future.”

Most likely, the skater is in Germany, although his wife Oksana Domnina categorically denied these rumors. But, as we have already reported, it was German doctors who flew to Moscow to work with Kostomarov, helped in his treatment and advised Russian specialists.

– If the prosthetic limbs of an athlete will take place abroad, then this will cost his family hundreds of millions, – a well-known Moscow traumatologist commented to MK. – I will not hide, any prosthetics is quite dangerous, especially in the case of Kostomarov, who had severe pneumonia, stroke, sepsis and blood clots.

Let’s hope for the best, especially since he is a fighting guy, and his sports hardening affects! And one more thing: it is unlikely that our specialists, the luminaries of science who treated Roman, would have given permission for his discharge and further treatment in another hospital if they were not confident in the positive dynamics of their patient and good prognosis. They just wouldn’t let him go.
