Not everything goes to the family

9 days have passed since the death of Valentin Yudashkin. After himself, the eminent fashion designer left a solid legacy. Yudashkin owned apartments in Moscow and New York, a country mansion and a fashion house. According to the most conservative estimates, all acquired property is about one billion rubles. However, not all good will be able to dispose of his heirs. This was told to MK correspondents by fashion historian, TV presenter Alexander Vasiliev.

Yudashkin and his wife lived outside the city in Bakovka near Moscow. Here, back in the early nineties, the couturier acquired 40 acres of land, and then rented another one and a half hectares. The result was a large country estate. In Bakovka, Yudashkin built a luxurious mansion, in scope, if inferior to Pugacheva’s castle, then quite a bit. According to the most conservative estimates of realtors, the price of the estate is more than two hundred million rubles.

Valentin also has an apartment in New York. The fashion designer’s apartment is located in the most elite area of ​​the city. Yudashkin acquired this housing 15 years ago. For an apartment with an area of ​​​​more than 200 square meters, he gave 6 million dollars. Two years ago, Valentin put up a house for sale. But either the price turned out to be too high, or for other reasons, but no one bought housing.

The structures of the Yudashkin Fashion House are no less valuable. In Moscow, the fashion designer has three stores, one of which is located in the center of Moscow. They say they are all owned.

However, despite the impressive list of real estate, not everything will go to the Yudashkin family.

– Yudashkin started with Zaitsev as a hairdresser and make-up artist, then significantly pulled ahead, – fashion historian Alexander Vasilyev explains to MK correspondents. – Valentin found business partners much better than Zaitsev. Zaitsev was an enthusiastic artist, and Yudashkin was an enthusiastic businessman. Feel the difference?

According to Vasiliev, the Zaitsev Fashion House will go to his son after his death. But the brainchild of Yudashkin will not go completely to his family. Because Valentine had business partners.

“Zaitsev was a 100% owner of his brainchild,” says Vasiliev. – Yudashkin owns, as far as I know, only 25 percent. The rest (most of the business) goes to its sponsors.

It turns out that Yudashkin’s heirs will be able to claim only a quarter of the Fashion House.
