The former head of Roscosmos, head of the Tsar’s Wolves division, Dmitry Rogozin, became a senator from the Zaporozhye region. This is what he’s talking about reported on Telegram.
“It is an honor for me to defend the interests of the Zaporozhye region and Novorossia as a whole,” Rogozin wrote in response to a message from the Notepad publication.
The fact that Rogozin was considered for the position of senator from the new region, told Vedomosti’s sources in the presidential administration (AP). One of the interlocutors noted that Rogozin is “a prominent figure,” so he can represent the region in the Federation Council, and then “go on to grow.”
It was clarified that the current senator Dmitry Vorona could be delegated from the regional legislative assembly, since he was on the United Russia lists in the elections.
Rogozin left the position of CEO of Roscosmos in July 2022. He led the state corporation for more than four years. His place was taken by former Deputy Prime Minister for Military-Industrial Complex (DIC) Yuri Borisov.
