Due to increased shelling of Energodar, electricity was lost in a number of districts of the city, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region. He blamed the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the shelling, specifying that local authorities recorded approximately 10 shell hits in the area of the Zaporizhzhya thermal power plant.
“Now the shelling has intensified. Electricity was partially lost in the city. At the moment, shelling of the city continues,” Mr. Rogov told RIA Novosti. The official does not yet have information about the extent of damage to the city’s infrastructure.
The last time about power outages in Energodar local administration informed October 9th. Since October 4, against the backdrop of increased shelling, a curfew has been in place in the city from 20:00 to 6:00 (previously it was valid from 0:00 to 5:00).
