Rogov assessed the situation in the Zaporozhye direction

Data on the start of a large-scale counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporozhye direction have not been confirmed, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, chairman of the movement “We are with Russia”.

“I cannot confirm the information about the start of a full-scale offensive on the Zaporozhye Front. All our guys defending these borders, with whom I managed to quickly contact, also do not confirm the information that has spread over the network, ” wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

Later, Rogov added that Russian combat aircraft had already taken off to strike at enemy targets in different directions.

Prior to this, several war correspondents and Telegram channels reported on the intensification of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the possible start of a counteroffensive announced since the winter.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine has been going on since February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia. Since October 19 last year, martial law has been introduced in the regions.
