Road closures in Moscow related to City Day celebrations to begin on September 5

From September 5 to 12, a number of traffic restrictions will be carried out on the central and some other streets of Moscow. This is connected with the preparation and holding of the City Day.

So, from 00:01 on September 5 to 23:59 on September 8, one lane will be closed in Maly Gnezdnikovsky, Leontievsky, Glinishevsky, Gazetny and Nikitsky lanes, the Deptrans of the capital reported.

For a day – from 00:01 on September 7 to 00:01 on September 8 – one lane will be blocked in some sections of Tverskaya and Mokhovaya streets and Okhotny Ryad streets. The same restrictions will apply a day after the end of the festive events – from 8:00 on September 12 to 8:00 on September 13.

From 00:01 on September 8 to 08:00 on September 12, the section of Tverskaya Street from Pushkinskaya Square to Okhotny Ryad and several adjacent lanes will be completely blocked. It will be impossible to drive along Mokhovaya on the section from Vozdvizhenka to Tverskaya. Traffic will also be closed in Teatralny Proyezd.

From 00:00 on September 10 to 23:59 on September 11, traffic will be blocked along Petrovka and Neglinnaya streets, Rakhmanovsky and Krapivensky lanes.

In addition, on September 10, from 20:30 to 21:30, Vasilyevsky Spusk, Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge, Staraya Ploshchad, Moskvoretskaya Street, Kitaigorodsky Proyezd and sections of adjacent embankments will be closed.

From 20:50 to 21:10 on September 10, traffic will be closed along Ozernaya Alley in Zelenograd, Central and Physical streets in Troitsk, Kadyrov Street in Yuzhny Butovo. And from 12:00 to 21:30, the section near the Aviapark shopping center will be closed. These restrictions are associated with the launch of fireworks.

Also, for the duration of the traffic restrictions on the above sections, parking of cars will be prohibited.
