Rizhsky railway station is closed for six months

From March 1 until autumn, the Rizhsky railway station will be closed for boarding and disembarking passengers due to the construction of a transport interchange hub (TCR Rizhskaya) and the modernization of the station building. Part of suburban train routes will be extended to the Kursk railway station. This is reported in Telegram channel Department of Transport of Moscow.
“Due to the construction of the Rizhskaya transfer hub, from March 1, 2023 until autumn, the schedule on the Riga direction is changing. There is no boarding and disembarking of passengers at the Rizhsky railway station. Part of suburban trains will be extended to Kursky railway station via Rizhskaya station D2, part will run from/to Streshnevo D2. “Swallows” on the route Moscow – Muravyevo will follow from / to the Kursk railway station, ”the department of the capital reported.
After the work, trains D2, D3 and D4 will stop at the Rizhskaya TPU, and it will also be possible to transfer to the large circle line and the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line. Two new platforms will be built at the Rizhsky railway station and the tracks will be updated.
